February’s 📚: Riot Baby - Tochi Onyebuchi (2020, 100+ pages, USA):
A short lil dystopian novella that follows two siblings as they navigate the hateful, ignorant, and violent streets of Los Angeles in the 90s - while contending with burgeoning superpowers. Most of the reviews/synopsis I’ve read boil down to: it’s great, it’s angry, it’s hopeful, it’s a mirror, it’s highly recommended - so I guess I’ll go with that, too.
